Meet Stella....

Makayla is a proud new momma to a beautiful baby Guinea Pig.

Stella is only 2 months old and is already quite the fashion diva

I delight in the pure joy on our little girls face as she proudly displays
the front pack she created just for her little Stella.

It's all Puppy Play...

Besides photographing families and babies...
I think puppies are about the next best thing!

This is Chip! He belongs to Luke's preschool teacher...we got to love on him for a day.

I couldn't resist snapping a few shots of this sweet boy.

Leapin Lizards!

Introducing the newest members of our family...
Spike- the little tiny Newt above and
Simon- the handsome green, sometimes gold Chameleon below.

These two little guys traveled home with us from Washington after a friend gave them to Luke as an early birthday gift. Nothing says, "Best Friends" like someone giving your kid some lizards. Thanks Kristine...They are so much fun!
Even our kitties are happy. One of our cats (Banjo) spends most of his time taunting the poor little fellas!

It's been a learning curve to figure out how to take care of these two new cold blooded friends. We are now a house full of all kinds of critters. The Lizards are just the tip of the ice- berg compared to all Luke catches in a day to keep them well fed. Not to mention the Meal- worms in the fridge and the live crickets out in the garage.

More to come about the HUGE Moth the kids caught last week. As of today at least half of the 150 eggs have hatched into little teeny tiny caterpillars.... Hummmm.... Lizard food perhaps?

Our Furry Friends...

Here's Hobo at 5 months old... He's our blue eyed regal prince!

Then there's Josie (14) and Jake (11)...these two are like peas and carrots... Just look at those smug mugs stiffin around for some grub.

Last but not least....Banjo!
Let's just say he's not so regal like his brother!

Banjo and Hobo

Do you remember these two cutie's from a few weeks back?
The kitten's found abandon, that made their way into our home and our hearts.

Just look at them now....

These two brothers are 3 months old now and are causing all kinds of hilarious and mischievous chaos.

Official names where finally decided upon after much deliberation...

BANJO and HOBO

Double the Fur...

Just over a week ago, Scott came home with a little grey kitten. The poor little thing had been abandon at our church. He could barely walk and was very, very hungry. We think he was about 3 weeks old. The very next day Scott found another kitten ( same place, different bush) and the two brothers where reunited. Over the past week and a half we have enjoyed bottle feeding this little pair. They have gone from being weak and frightened to strong and playful in no time at all. We still have yet to officially name these two-so if you have any fun ideas...please feel free to post a comment with your suggestion.

Some possibilities are Mike and Ike, Jazz and Taz

or

Moses and Aaron?

MY SISTER, THE HORSE TRAINER!

My sister is an amazing horse trainer. She speciallizes in training Tennessee Walkers and Rockey Mountain Horses. Allison often asks me to snap some action shots of her working with these big beauties. Link to Smart Stides Training Center to see more of what she does. Allison's web site features some of my work. We are in the process of capturing some new feature photographs for her site, to be added soon. http://smart-strides.com/

A LITTLE GIRL'S DREAM!

Here's my little girl, enjoying a dream come true! Meet Auntie Allison! Isn't she beautiful! Ever since we where young our family has been in love with horses, so much so that my folks left theIr city life to live the life of island farmers and horse handlers and my sister became a full time horse trainer. Now that I have kids of my own, the love of horse back riding and showing is quickly being passed to the next generation. My daughter Makayla had her first pony by her 2nd birthday and was in the showring by age 3. Here are some highlights of Makayla's horsemanship journey thus far. Thanks to Auntie, Grandma Jeri and Pa-pa Doug!

MY LITTLE GET-A-WAY!

Have you ever felt so blist, you just want to drive somewhere, away from it all and think, or better yet, not think! I got to do just that! I was up at 5am so I grabbed my dogs Jake and Josie and headed to the ocean. Fresh air and prayer does a spirit good.
